{"id":3767,"date":"2012-06-29T07:30:00","date_gmt":"2012-06-29T11:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thefrugalhomemaker.com\/?p=3767"},"modified":"2017-08-14T15:06:49","modified_gmt":"2017-08-14T19:06:49","slug":"friday-frugal-finds-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefrugalhomemaker.com\/2012\/06\/29\/friday-frugal-finds-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday Frugal Finds: 99\u00a2\/yard fabric, yard sale dresses, and more!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wlWriterHeaderFooter\" style=\"float: none; margin: 0px; padding: 4px 0px 4px 0px;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; width: 450px; height: 80px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/widgets\/like.php?href=http:\/\/thefrugalhomemaker.com\/2012\/06\/29\/friday-frugal-finds-2\/\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" width=\"320\" height=\"240\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Every Friday I share my frugal or thrifty finds for the week or sometimes some kind of family fun activity we did.\u00a0\u00a0 Today I have some fun frugal finds!<\/p>\n<p>I stopped by my parking lot yard sale that is at a local antique store.\u00a0 Come shop with <a href=\"http:\/\/thefrugalhomemaker.com\/2012\/06\/19\/you-are-invited-come-thrift-with-my-on-i-love-thrifting-day\/\" target=\"_blank\">me on I love thrifting day<\/a> and we plan to stop by this sale!\u00a0 Over 50 different sales were there 2 weeks ago!<\/p>\n<p>I didn\u2019t find much in the way of d\u00e9cor or household items, but I did find some cute clothes!\u00a0 I hardly ever find clothes at yard sales (not my size, not in good condition, not my style, etc.), but I lucked out with these! \u00a02 short knit dresses for $2 each, and a long fuchsia maxi dress with the tags still on it for $5.\u00a0 I have literally been living in dresses like this during this\u00a0 summer so I was excited to add 3 more to my closet!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thefrugalhomemaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/DSC_0575.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"yard sale clothes\" src=\"http:\/\/thefrugalhomemaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/DSC_0575_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"yard sale clothes\" width=\"290\" height=\"480\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then I ran by my local fabric warehouse.\u00a0 I was surprised to see they had a huge table full of brand new napkins and placemats for 50\u00a2 each!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"cheap placemats\" src=\"https:\/\/sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net\/hphotos-ash4\/376546_10150909842788727_1767872339_n.jpg\" alt=\"cheap placemats\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Most of them were the plastic outdoor type placemats but they did have these fabric red + white napkins that I loved!\u00a0 Can\u2019t wait to use them on a red\/white\/blue table. <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smile\" style=\"border-style: none;\" src=\"http:\/\/thefrugalhomemaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/wlEmoticon-smile15.png\" alt=\"Smile\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thefrugalhomemaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/DSC_0576.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"red and white napkins\" src=\"http:\/\/thefrugalhomemaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/DSC_0576_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"red and white napkins\" width=\"640\" height=\"469\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And I picked up some more material for pillows.\u00a0 LOVE the black and white geometric print!\u00a0 Less than $7 for all of the below fabric and there is about 3 yards of that black + white print.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thefrugalhomemaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/DSC_0577.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"cheap fabric\" src=\"http:\/\/thefrugalhomemaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/DSC_0577_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"cheap fabric\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And my best deal of the day!\u00a0 They had several huge rolls of red material (sort of broad cloth\/linen type fabric) for \u2026 99\u00a2\/ yard!\u00a0 Could not believe it!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thefrugalhomemaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/DSC_0579.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"cheap fabric\" src=\"http:\/\/thefrugalhomemaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/DSC_0579_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"cheap fabric\" width=\"640\" height=\"423\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We have an office\/study in our house that is supposed to be sort of a \u201cman-cave.\u201d\u00a0 My husband has all kinds of collectible cars and such in it.\u00a0 (I know, you have never seen it on the blog before\u2026 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.livinglaughingandloving.com\" target=\"_blank\">Renee<\/a> was surprised too as she had no clue that room existed when she stayed here last week.)\u00a0 Anyways, I have been looking for some red material to make curtains.\u00a0 And I absolutely couldn\u2019t believe this deal!\u00a0 I got 12 yards for $11.88!
