{"id":19254,"date":"2022-03-07T08:00:57","date_gmt":"2022-03-07T13:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefrugalhomemaker.com\/?p=19254"},"modified":"2022-03-07T09:05:02","modified_gmt":"2022-03-07T14:05:02","slug":"spring-diy-projects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefrugalhomemaker.com\/2022\/03\/07\/spring-diy-projects\/","title":{"rendered":"Spring DIY Projects"},"content":{"rendered":"Spring is a great time to accomplish some DIY projects!  The weather is finally warming up outside to work on the yard and outdoor projects or bring some things outside to paint or refinish.  \r\n\r\nSpring is my favorite time of the year and I love DIY projects too.  So I rounded up some of my favorite projects over the years and hope that these will inspire you for your own DIY projects.\r\n\r\nGive your mailbox a makeover with just some paint and stain –<\/a> can you believe this is the same mailbox and pole?\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nPaint your porch rails and restain the porch or deck boards.<\/a>\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nPaint your concrete porch or patio<\/a> – this transformed my back patio last year and I absolutely love it!  I detailed exactly how to do it and what product to use in this post.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nHow to make your back porch or patio be an outdoor oasis<\/a> – we truly enjoy our outdoor spaces daily!\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nMake a spring yellow and white wreath<\/a>\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nOr make a Tulip wreath<\/a>\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nMake some raised garden beds and grow some veggies in your back yard!\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nMake a huge flag for the side of your shed or your patio wall<\/a>\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nMake a Welcome Spring sign and banner<\/a>\r\n\r\n\"DSC_0843\"\r\n\r\nMake an Easter Garden.<\/a>\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nBring some spring blooms inside for a Simple blue blooms spring mantel<\/a>\r\n\r\n\"DSC_0492-002\"\r\n\r\nMake a DIY cover for your firepit – we love this cover so that our firepit can be used year round as a table and place to put your feet up \ud83d\ude42<\/a>\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nMake a DIY potting bench that can also serve as a serving station for cookouts. <\/a>\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nYou’ll need a patio table to enjoy all those spring grilled meals around – build this one completely out of just simple 2×4’s.<\/a>\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nGive that furniture you find at a spring yard sale a makeover<\/a>\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nMake a simple green and white wreath for your front door.<\/a>\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nOr make a DIY lambs ear and peony wreath.<\/a>\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nCan’t find naturally aged pots – make your own by aging some basic terra-cotta pots with paint<\/a>\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nTransform your thrifted finds from some spray paint<\/a>\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nMake a DIY wood planter box- these also double as tiki torch holders!<\/a>\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nMakeover a piece of furniture you already own- I detail the entire process in this post.<\/a>\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nMake a DIY hanging wall planter<\/a>  – love having herbs growing on my back porch to grab to add to dinner.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nSpruce up your front porch for spring<\/a> – clean it all up, add flowers and plants and pillows – all the details here.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIf have some items that are dirty and dingy and needing a makeover- give them a spray paint makeover<\/a>!\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nAnd you’ll want to add some spring touches inside too – see my simple spring home tour here.<\/a>\r\n\r\n tit\r\n\r\nI am joining with some friends today that are sharing their spring or DIY projects – make sure to click over and see their posts today too – click the titles below to go to their posts.   I can’t wait to read about composting – that’s something I have wanted to tackle this spring. \r\n\r\n\r\n
