Christmas decor doesn’t have to come from a store!  In fact, some of my favorite Christmas decor are things I have made… and you can make them too!  I thought I would round up all my Christmas DIY projects from crafts, decor, ornaments, and more in one post to make it easy for you to choose one to do. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

This large O Holy night sheet music sign<\/a> has probably been my most popular Christmas DIY in recent years.   I share a trick for how and where to print the music print for under $5 (and the link to find this song or any song you want to print for FREE!) and the details on how I built the frame all in this post.<\/a><\/p>\n

Last year I came up with an idea to make a smaller version of this – again using whatever song you want to create a sheet music wall hanging!<\/a><\/p>\n

And then after I had made those, I thought why not even make a miniature version to use as ornaments!!  I just adore these sheet music ornaments<\/a>!  They are almost free to make using things you probably already have and easy to make a bunch of them at one time.  <\/p>\n

It’s really easy to make any custom size that you choose – this sign used a store-bought premade sign blank that I added the message on of my choosing for a Hot Cocoa bar sign.<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Here’s an edible DIY for you \ud83d\ude42  Yummy Rudolph Cookies.<\/a><\/p>\n

One year I did a ski lodge theme for Christmas and made these easy DIY Christmas skis from picket fence pieces<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

If you are wanting to change up your colors for Christmas but not buy all new ornaments – just paint them! I actually prefer the look and finish of those chalk-painted ornaments<\/a> vs. the cheap look of inexpensive plastic ornaments.<\/p>\n

So fun to see them after just a bit of paint!<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

A few years ago I did a 12 DIY’s of Christmas series.  It was a lot of fun and again some of my favorite decor came out of it.  <\/p>\n

This DIY Wood slice wreath<\/a> can be used plain or customized with whatever accent you want to add – could even be used for fall!<\/p>\n

A wood hoop can make a fun DIY Hoop Christmas wreath.<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Pick up a scrabble game at the thrift store or grab some cheap sets online to make some DIY Scrabble letter ornaments. <\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I saw some ornaments just like this the other day at Walmart – but it would be even cheaper to make a bunch of these DIY plaid flannel ornaments<\/a> yourself and you can choose the fabric and colors.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

You can also use log slices to make ornaments<\/a> too!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

How fun is this Christmas cookie cutter wreath<\/a> to hang someplace in your kitchen?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Save those used mason jar lids to make these fun DIY mason jar lid ornaments!<\/a> I used scraps of the same fabric from the ball ornaments so you can get 2 uses out of it.  <\/p>\n

Hosting a Christmas party?  Here’s an idea to make some DIY Christmas milk jars.<\/a><\/p>\n

One of my favorite way to make a DIY pillow is to use a placemat to make a DIY placemat pillow!  They are inexpensive and so easy to do with very minimal sewing.<\/p><\/div>\n

You can even make your own snowy Christmas farmhouse.<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Want to make your own star for your tree or just for decor?  Here’s a tutorial for a DIY wood star made from paint sticks.<\/p>\n

These DIY snowflake chargers<\/a> could be used even into winter – again made them from large paint sticks so very inexpensive to make. Or you can use it just as decor.  <\/p>\n

This is an easy way to create a frame for any free printable that you want to display.<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

These DIY painted silver, blue, and white snowflake ornaments<\/a> were a fun DIY to do too.<\/p>\n

Did you know you can take a Christmas gift bag and turn it into Christmas art?<\/a>  That’s what I did for this art displayed on my mantel.  <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I also made this easy red + white chevron tree skirt<\/a> – again you could customize to any color and design you want.  But this one was quite simple to make with some very basic sewing – could even hand stitch it.  <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

You can also collect some pinecones from your yard and paint them!<\/a> I showed 3 different ways to paint them which all create different looks.<\/p>\n

Even stockings can be a DIY – when I couldn’t find what I wanted several years ago I made my own DIY burlap and lace stockings.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

And I also made a burlap and lace tree skirt to match them<\/a>.  <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This burlap wreath<\/a> would be a perfect addition to go with these.<\/p>\n

This rolled music page wreath was another favorite years ago.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Did you know you can make your own mercury glass?  They sell a special spray paint that allows you to get that look.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Have you ever made your own cinnamon scented ornaments<\/a>?  These are sort of like the flour dough ornaments but made with 2 simple ingredients and smell just like cinnamon!  I think I need to make some of these again this year – this is a perfect activity to do with kids.  <\/p>\n

If you love cinnamon, you would also love this DIY cinnamon stick wreath.<\/p>\n

I made this years ago – but the tips to adding embellishments to a inexpensive evergreen wreath<\/a> would work no matter what colors or design you wanted to do.<\/p>\n

Or you could use real fresh greenery cuttings and add it to a grapevine wreath to make a wreath.<\/a>  You can usually get some free cuttings from wherever sells Christmas trees in your area.<\/p>\n

This jolly little snowman was a fun DIY!<\/a>  Just need a jigsaw and some basic paint colors.<\/p>\n

This rustic wood joy sign<\/a> was another easy woodworking project that you could customize for whatever word or saying you wanted to do <\/p>\n

I still love and use these chalk painted mason jars often<\/a> – they are such a cute table centerpiece idea especially filled with a candle.  <\/p>\n

Have a wreath you want to beef up a bit?  Layer 2 wreaths on top of each other!<\/a><\/p>\n

This DIY lighted canvas is another favorite<\/a>!  Again this could be made in any color and in any design.<\/p>\n
