It\u2019s November which means Thanksgiving is near \u2013 I cannot wait to gather together with family in just a few weeks for our big Thanksgiving meal!  Today I am sharing my fall dining room and a simple Thanksgiving tablescape. <\/p>\n

I honestly don\u2019t think I have shared a whole post on my dining room (horrible blogger), but last year literally the week before Christmas I finished building this farmhouse table and painting\/staining the chairs so I could host our big family Christmas meal.  I built the table from this Ana White plan<\/a> and it’s definitely not perfect.  One day I will get some better wood and redo the top but it’s not at the top of the list right now.  The chairs came from Goodwill and facebook marketplace.  I actually have 4 matching chairs that I usually have on the left side that I got for $20 total at Goodwill, then I found a set of 3 wood Ikea chairs and use 2 of those at either end and the 3rd one as my office chair \u2013 think I paid $30 for those from Facebook marketplace.  They are very similar so once I painted\/stained them the same they look like they match.<\/p>\n

The bench is another yard sale find for $5 that I refinished.  I do plan to build the matching bench to this table sometime but for now this bench works.  And the white cabinet is actually a family heirloom piece \u2013 my husband\u2019s grandmothers and I am so thankful to have it!  I need to reinforce the shelves in it and then actually style it inside but I keep all my milk glass, vintage Pyrex, and vintage Ball jar collection in this piece and do pull them out and actually use them for serving or styling at times.  <\/p>\n

The buffet is actually the bottom of a china cabinet that I bought off marketplace for $100 \u2013 then resold the top for $25 \"Winking  It was the perfect size for in here, solid wood furniture. and I love it refinished.  I built the shelves by using 2x12x12 pine board<\/a> and basically cutting it in half \u2013 my shelves are 66 inches long.  You can buy pipe brackets like I used here.<\/a><\/p>\n

Our house has a very open floor plan which definitely has its pros and cons but I sure do love seeing this view from the kitchen or living room. <\/p>\n

For the table I kept it very simple with rattan placemats (mine are from Ikea but you can similar here<\/a>), these white BHG dishes<\/a>, this table runner from Kirkland\u2019s<\/a>, thrifted brass candlesticks, greenery, and Target dollar spot pumpkins. <\/p>\n

I just love how it turned out!<\/p>\n

Candlelight makes everything better!<\/p>\n

The black words are new this year and came from this etsy shop<\/a>!  I just love them and might have to order a Christmas set!<\/p>\n

I have had this arch (that I got at a yard sale for $8) on top of my hutch since last Christmas and just change out the decor around it. <\/p>\n

I will probably just switch out the greenery to evergreens and do something very similar for Christmas soon. <\/p>\n
