I have been talking to my husband (not so technically literate lol) about cutting cable for a while. He doesn’t get this whole streaming business. We also have Spectrum internet and cable and started at $118.00 and are now up to $167.00 per month. Way too much when about half the channels are showing the same thing and the other half are in a language we don’t understand lol. Plus like you, we only watch about a dozen channels on a regular basis. I have printed out the post and as you suggested we’ll be doing the free trials on some of the services to see which fits our needs. We already have a Roku but will get an Amazon fire stick …my kids have one and their families love it. Thank you again

We have never paid just for internet service. It has always been in a bundle with phones and TV. Thank you!

Ours is bundled in with the TV, phone, internet through Comcast. We do not have a land line any more.

We currently use Netflix and Amazon fire stick, but still have a Dish Network satellite package (we live in a rural area). I don’t think I realized you could DVR things from streaming services. I have a young adult autistic son living at home and we like to have options for him to watch things he enjoys like game shows, sporting events, and older children’s shows that may not be aired anymore. I’m like you and like to have the TV on sometimes just in the background so the house isn’t so quiet, and also love not being limited to where the tv can go if you want to re-arrange! This is so helpful, I will share with my husband.
